Athletic Supply was opened in 1973. Originally
established to allow the local
community the opportunity to purchase quality brand
athletic equipment, from a knowledgeable staff to insure
that custom fit. Although the staff has changed over the
years, the knowledge and the merchandise selection
continues to grow each year. The original storefront
housed 4,000 sq.ft. of merchandise, but with the
business growing, we were busting out of our walls. We
made several moves in our time, but in 1999, we made our
move (and hopefully our last) to our current location.
We now have over 10,000 sq.ft. of store space, which
allows us to have 2 INDOOR BATTING CAGES, along with all
of the merchandise. There is nothing like testing some
of our sample bats in the cage before you buy one.
Our business is a rarity in these times. We pride
ourselves in being a locally owned business that can
provide that customer service you can't find in the big
retail stores. However, we know that customer service
isn't everything. The majority of customers make
purchases based on price. Our selection and price is
competitive with anyone you'll find. We have all of the
big names like Nike, Adidas, Easton, Louisville Slugger,
Nokona, Under Armour, Wilson, Baden, Worth, Demarini,
Schutt, All-Star, Russell Athletic, Bike, and Reebok to
name a few.
Besides
our merchandise and batting cages, we also have an
in-house trophy and plaque shop and an in-house screen
printer. This allows our customers to get their orders
right when they need them without costly outsourcing.
We have 3
road salesman that call on schools and recreation
programs throughout Louisiana and Arkansas. If you are a
coach or recreation director, give us a call and we can
give you a quote on your large purchases. We specialize
in custom uniforms and letter jackets. Baseball, soccer,
football; you name it we've got it. From little league
to the bigs.
